05 - Garnish with fresh basil leaves, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, and a sprinkle of black pepper. Serve immediately while warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The combination of warm melty cheese and salty cured meat creates that perfect bite that makes people reach for just one more
  • They come together in under 30 minutes but look like something from a restaurant appetizer menu
02 -
  • Dont skip the flip halfway through toasting—I once forgot and ended up with burned bottoms and soft tops
  • The mozzarella only needs 2 minutes in the oven, any longer and it starts separating into oil and rubber
03 -
  • Let the prosciutto sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving—it makes a huge difference in texture and taste
  • Use a pastry brush for even oil distribution instead of drizzling, which creates soggy spots
